Useless old change
An unbearable affair
Impossible to arrange
A man’s written nightmare
Erased from the page
A rejected dare
A known truth of derange
The jester at the fair
Locked with the animals in the cage
A magician’s flawed hare
Booed off the stage
A woman to beware
One to never engage

Each bird has flown, only I remain
A failed widow, the raven untamed
